Meet Nationals Starting Pitcher Jason Bergmann
Join us at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17th for a question-and-answer session with Washington Nationals pitcher Jason Bergmann!
Bergmann will talk about the current season, share stories from the clubhouse, and answer all your burning baseball questions.
The Q&A will be hosted by an Nationals broadcaster Charlie Slowes and will be followed by an autograph signing for fans. Plus, answer questions about the Nats pitcher, and you’ll win tickets to an upcoming game. All Nats fans at the event will also have their last chance to enter to win an autographed Nationals-themed DreamSeat!
Arrive early for the best seats in the house. Doors will open at 11 a.m., just for Nationals fans.
State of the Nationals
Mark your calendars for Friday, September 19th at 12 p.m., and join us at ESPN Zone for the 2008 State of the Nationals address.
Nationals General Manager Jim Bowden and Assistant GM and VP of Baseball Operations Mike Rizzo will address the Nationals’ current season, the Nats’ off-season plans, and the organization’s ongoing development. Fans will be invited to ask questions of Bowden and Rizzo throughout the event, gaining insight in the future of the hometown team.
Are You As Good As Johnny?
Are you as good as legendary University of Maryland broadcaster Johnny Holliday? Prove it at ESPN Zone, and you’ll win the chance to prove it on live TV!
Would-be sportscasters of all ages are invited to compete in ESPN Zone’s “Are You as Good as Johnny?” competition on Monday, September 22nd at 6:30 p.m. One winner – as selected by Johnny Holliday himself – will win great prizes!
The winner will be invited to join Holliday and color commentator Jonathan Claiborne in the broadcast booth for an upcoming Terps game. While in the booth, he or she will get to step behind the microphone and call a Maryland offensive drive live during the game. The winner will also receive two tickets to the game, a parking pass, admission to Terrapin Sports Marketing’s pre-game tailgate party, and a football autographed by Maryland football coach Ralph Friedgen.
